Try the search box - top left of each page Te Whare o te Ata Community House in Fairfield was established in 1986 to support and affirm the Fairfield/Chartwell Community. It is a large house with open plan lounge, dinning and kitchen area that is suitable for up to 20 people. There is off street parking for 12 cars, there is also a 2 room annex suitable for groups of up to eight people. The house has a digital projector available, and Internet access in the lounge and the annex. Hire charge is set at a very low level for community groups to encourage community participation. We are able to do this because Hamilton City Council supports our rental costs. Regular activities include a vege garden, social English classes, tattoo removal, monthly Okapu wananga, Community Living Trust cooking, drama and marae skills classes, computer club, and several regular hires. We can also access a funding database to look for funding for your community group. |
